The Firebirds of Waycross, GA. came out a little slow in the title game against the Duval Tigers. The Tigers, who seemed to have had the Firebirds, number all game long.  With a 6-0 lead and time running out in the fourth, The Tigers seemed poised to take home the title over the birds. Then reality hit  Waycross lined up for what appeared to be an field goal, and hoping that they could recover an onside kick, like they have been all season long, when they caught the Tigers celebrating a little to early, and fake the field goal for a pass over

the top to put the game in a knot at 6-6.
        

Waycross would win the coin toss in overtime and score on the first play from scrimmage to come from behind and win the NIFL Georgia title. Hats off to the Firebirds, on a great season
