MLFN National Rankings Method Explained:
Minor League Football News (MLFN) receives scores, standings and other data from Semi-Pro Football Headquarters each Monday evening.
MLFN uses this data to compile a rankings model which uses a simple average, along with other computed values, to determine a power ranking. Those power rankings are then applied to the respective opponents of each team to determine the strength of the opponent and, accordingly, the strength of the win. So, a winning team will not be rewarded within the rankings by running up a score on a weak opponent.
