President: Darrell L. Shavers Sr. 

 

Born in Daytona Beach, FL. Attended Port Orange Spruce Creek Senior High before graduating from Prestonsburg Senior High,  Attended KSU University on Scholarships in Football (FS/WR) and Basketball (PG/SG), graduating with a Bachelors in Management as well as degrees in Physical Education and Sports Management, as a player spent time in several professional football organizations such as Arena 1and 2 League as well as Semi Pro, was invited to the Denver Broncos Training Camp in 2004 before knee injury derailed his career. As a coach Mr. Shavers, a has coach at the High School  as well as the Semi Pro level for the last 7 years serving as an Offensive Coordinator and a Defensive Backs coach.  Mr. Shavers is a proud and devoted Father. Associate Vice President: James Cox

 

Mr. Cox was born and raised in Waycross, GA. He play football at Pierce County Senior High in Blackshear GA., Served his Country in the military for 10 years. In his playing days Mr. Cox played Quarterback for many years until a hip injury cut his career short. Mr. Cox was the owner of the Southeastern Bulldawgs 1999-2003. In 2007 he decided to get back involved in the lives young men with football and started the Waycross Firebirds which are now the Georgia Firebirds. He Has a .740 Winning percentage as a Head Coach which included the 2009 NIFL Championship. Mr. Cox also has logged over 200 hours of volunteering his time to the communities that he represents. He has worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer for over 10 years in the state of Georgia  jcox@niflfootball.org

 
 
 
 
Commissioner: John C. Walters

 

Mr. Walters was born and raised in Miami, FL. has been involved with football for over thirty years, most on the officiating side of the ball. He is a former collegiate official and worked many games of minor-league football. Health issues brought him into the administrative role where he became the first and only Supervisor of Officials for the Southern States Football League. Treasurer/Secretary: Katienna E. Brown

 

Mrs. Brown was born and raised in Daytona Beach, FL. She attended Spruce Creek Senior High, graduating with high marks IB Honors. Mrs. Brown graduated from college with an Associate’s Degree in Business Management as well as degrees in Finance and Accounting. She is the Owner/ CEO of Simply Divine Designs and is currently enrolled in the School of Criminal Justice. Director of Team Developement AFC: Terry Fletcher

 

Mr. Fletcher is a native of Boston, Ma, where he attended the oldest high school in the country, Boston English High. There he started as a free safety and corner for three years. As a senior he was ranked the number one free safety in the state. In 1984 he accepted an opportunity to a walk on try out for the New England Patriots. He served thirteen years in the USMC were he found himself being whisked across the globe. He had the honor of fighting for our country in four world conflicts; the Iranian conflict, The Granada incident, the bombing of Beirut, and Desert Storm. Now a highly decorated Marine was discharged from the armed services due to injuries sustained while serving his country. Mr. Fletcher may be reached at  tfletcher@niflfootball.org
